What can you build?
We specialize on building high quality architecturally advanced patios, verandahs, enclosures, carports and anything the like where our clients not only want to build a roof, but want to get a perfectly matching addition to their house. We love building beautiful structures and that’s the reason why we use the best available materials and not so common designs. We are also open to your ideas. Please read further for more information about our quality, materials and finishes.
Do you have a display centre?
We don’t have a display centre as such, but you can see examples of what we can build if you come to the Stellar Homes display houses at Mawson Lakes (Mawson Lakes, Shoalhaven village, Fowler St.).
There are so many builders out there. Why should I choose you over someone else?
Quite simple. No other builder can offer you so well thought about pre-developed styles as we can. We are different, innovative and eager to implement your ideas. We pay as much attention to detail and quality as to making your building experience with us a breeze. We aim to leave you 100% happy and satisfied with our work and service.
I live in a country town. Can you come and build a carport for me?
Currently we work only in the Adelaide metropolitan area. Our nearest plans include extending our business to cover near country areas (from Victor Harbour to the Barossa Valley to Murray Bridge).
What kind of materials do you use in your designs?
All structural members will be made out of construction steel. For roofing we use a range of Danpalon® polycarbonate products. We also utilise a range of other materials such as aluminium and fibre cement that are an excellent addition to the main steel frame and Danpalon® roofing.
What is Danpalon® roofing?
Danpalon® is an architectural polycarbonate glazing system. It consists of panels with snap-on connecting profiles. The use of stainless steel fasteners allows for thermal expansion and eliminates the need for penetration through the sheet making the structure 100% watertight. The Danpalon® range of products includes multicell and solid panels. Danpalon® multicell panels are what we recommend to use. They come in a range of colours and offer superior light quality and visual appearance, excellent UV protection (eliminating more than 99.9% of UV radiation), high impact and weather resistance. The Danpalon® multicell design features more cells and layers, which gives the panel significantly less thermal conductivity than other polycarbonate products on the market. Danpalon® panels are designed to work at temperatures ranging from –40 to +120 degrees Celsius. They age very slowly which makes them look great for many years after they’ve been installed. The performance of Danpalon® panels was thoroughly tested by Australian authorities and certificates of compliance have been issued for the relevant tests and standards.
Why do you use construction steel?
Comparing with timber, construction steel has many advantages. It is much stronger, which allows for longer spans and less support points, it doesn’t crack, warp or attract termites, and if properly protected, it is pretty much maintenance free. It gives more flexibility in terms of what you can build. Almost any client’s requirements can be met by using steel as a base for the whole structure.
Can you build a timber structure for me?
No, sorry, as we choose to use superior materials. There are many companies out there who can build using timber for you. If you don’t know how to find them, check the Yellow Pages, talk to your friends. They may recommend you someone who has a good reputation for quality and service.
What sort of external finishes can I expect?
We pay special attention to the finishes of our products because this is what customers want to have perfect in the first place, and because the quality of external finishes determines the long life of our structures. All steel components will be hot dip galvanised, powder coated or painted. Aluminium profiles will be powder coated as well. Danpalon® roofing products that we use have excellent appearance and weather resistance, and don’t require any special treatment. Any materials other than steel, aluminium and plastic, will be properly protected by texturing, painting or treating according to manufacturers' specifications and best practices.
How wide is your range of colours?
For all textured and painted parts the range is huge. You can choose any colour you like from the Wattyl or Dulux range. We will recommend you colours that in our opinion suit best other colours used in your structure and complement your house, but the final choice is yours. For powder coated parts we give you a choice of some 40+ colours. We can also match existing Colorbond® colours.
Can you custom design a shading structure for me?
First of all, any structure that is based on one of our pre-developed styles will be custom designed and made for every client. However we recognise that some clients may want an absolutely unique style, developed specifically for them. Fiesta Living will be happy to help you realise your artistic potential and incarnate your ideas into reality.
How expensive are your products?
Prices vary depending on the style you choose, the size of your structure, additional accessories you want to have and various other things specific to every client’s circumstances. As a rule of thumb you can expect it to be in the order of $350-$800/sqm. If this is within your budget we encourage you to contact us to discuss your ideas and/or requirements in more detail.
Hmm… Your prices seem to be high…
You may change your opinion if you consider what you get for your money: a uniquely styled structure crafted with care and passion especially for you, quality in every bit, excellent service. Also, don’t forget that every dollar spent on renovation or rebuilding increases the value of your property.
What is included in the price?
The price includes the preparation of documents and drawings, engineering calculations, council fees, fabrication and installation costs, soil and rubbish removal, stormwater connection. Once the price is set, it is fixed and will not be reviewed by us unless you want to make changes in the design that will require us to change or cancel some orders or redo some work. Please also bear in mind that such late changes most likely will extend construction time. The cost of changes will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
What about warranty?
We give you 20 years structural warranty, a 5-year warranty for steel powder coated parts against rusting, 10 years for aluminium parts, and a 10 year warranty for Danpalon® roofing.
How long does the building process take?
We aim to get a client’s structure installed within 4-5 weeks upon getting a council approval.
Not at this stage. However we are working on making it easier for customers to buy our products and are planning to introduce alternative ways for payment. In the meantime we can help you organise finance to buy one of our products if you like. Just ask our consultants.
Are you a licenced builder?
Yes, we are. Our builder’s licence number is BLD 199578. Fiesta Living is also a member of Master Builders Association of South Australia.
Do you have all necessary insurances in place?
Yes, we do. To cover you, the customer, we will organise Building Indemnity Insurance specifically for your project. We also have Public Liability Insurance that covers us in the unlikely event of someone getting injured on your construction site.
What if I have a problem with the structure that you built for me?
Immediately contact us if you think you have a problem with your structure. We’ll come and try to determine the cause of the problem. If it turns out to be our fault we will repair it free of charge, no questions asked. However, taking into consideration how carefully our products are designed, fabricated and installed, the likelihood of this happening is very minor.
